The process to enroll students in Dual Enrollment courses is straightforward and affords easy access to unique academic experiences for High-School learners.

Course selection
- Districts access the catalog for an up-to-date list of all course sections available for dual enrollment.
- Advisor processes course registration for student with a simple course enrollment form
- Student receives welcome email with all policies, course expectations and login credentials from the teaching institution

During the semester
- Student has the full asynchronous college experience
- Course instructed by college faculty using the college's learning management system
- Student expected to uphold college policies and procedures

After the semester
- College reports final grade back to Harris Digital Learning
- Student grade available in transcripts and eSchoolware records

According to the College in High School Alliance, there is evidence of positive outcomes for students participating in dual enrollment programs. Students who participate in college in high school programs are more likely to graduate high school, enroll in college, persist in college, and complete a college degree or credential. Low-income and underrepresented students in higher education experience the biggest positive impacts on their ability to access and complete college by getting a jumpstart on taking college classes in high school, particularly in early college high schools. College in high school programs, and especially early colleges, show a strong return on investment in those states who have examined the long-term impact.
